Our story
A guesthouse that grew into a hotel
The house began as a farm guesthouse for walkers crossing the plateau, with eight beds and one stove. When we took it on, the roof was tired and the cellar was full of old ski equipment. We kept the stone walls, the larch panelling and the carved doorway, and rebuilt everything else around a simple idea: a mountain hotel small enough to remember your name.
The cellar became the Alta Plana casino, the ground floor our kitchen and lounge, and the top floor a spa with a window onto the Karwendel.

Alpine spa
Heat, cold, then the mountains
Under the roof there is a Finnish sauna, a steam room and a cold plunge, with loungers facing the ridge. Treatments use arnica and mountain pine from the valley. In winter the terrace is cleared every morning, so you can step from the sauna straight into the snow.
18+ Casino — 18 years and over
The Alta Plana Casino
One floor below the lobby, the casino keeps the warmth of an old Tyrolean parlour: stone walls, low lamps and a bar that keeps a fire going all winter. Slot machines, European roulette, blackjack, baccarat and a poker room, open to residents and to anyone else aged 18 or more.
